The Design
This Brunswick West bathroom perfectly fulfils the client brief for a luxurious space with a “not too modern” feel that blends in with the rest of the period home.
Shaker style door was used to compliment the period style of the home but still keep it modern. The curve on the end of the vanity helped to soften it and created a shelf that complimented the curves of the bath next to it.
The vanity has a satin finish in the exact shade of green the client wanted, which is also matched above the picture rail. The large walk-in shower and beveled edge tiles make a statement, and attention to detail throughout impressed the judges.
Speak to a design specialist2Pack painted doors was used on the vanity so that the exact green from Dulux could specify and above the black picture rail to tie the space together. The flooring was chosen to reference period floor styles but modernized by selecting a Cararra wall subway wall tile.
The benchtop were made of Designer White Corian so we could mould the shape around the curved end of the vanity and achieve a seamless look for the long shower niche where the soaps and shower are stored. The now new luxurious and spacious bathroom was once used as a bedroom that became a forgotten room.
